In the hadith in Sahih Al-Bukhari, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said," There is no country but it will be visited by the Dajjal except Makkah and Madinah. There is an angel who will protect the two cities. "
Another name for Makkah is Bakkah as in surah Ali Imran verse 96, also called Ummul Quro as mentioned in the surah Al-An'am verse 92.
It is called Ummul Quro because there is a Ka'bah which is the headquarters of the earth.
Prophet Ibrahim had prayed as mentioned in Ibrahim surah verse 35, "ROBBIJ’AL HADZAL BALADA AAMINAA, O my Rabb makes this country a safe country."
The Grand Mosque has four purposes: (a) the Ka'bah, (b) the Ka'bah and the surrounding mosques, (c) the entire city of Mecca, or (d) all the land is unclean.
Haram Al-Makki land boundaries: North boundary is Nakhil Wadi, Al-Ji’ranah, and At-Tan'im; Western borders are Al-Hudaibiyyah (Ash-Syumaisi); the southern boundary is Adhatu Laban (Al-kaUkaisiyyah); the eastern boundary is jabal ‘Arafat (Dzatus Salim). So the vast area of ​​Haram Makkah is around 127 x 550 km.
The distance of Masjidi Haram to several land boundaries is unclean to: (a) At-Tan'im 7.5 km; (b) Nakhlah 13 km; (b) Adhah Laban 16 km; (d) Al-Ji’ranah 24 km; (e) Al-Hudaibiyyah 22 km; (f) Jabal ‘Arafat 22 km.
At-Tan'im is the closest place to the haram boundary. At that time, Aisyah was hired at the 9th Hajj Wada and took the Ihram intention from At-Tan'im.
